The LOMG Board of Directors cordially invites you to celebrate
the life of Scott Cole & LOMG’s 25th Anniversary
on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Land Of My Grandfathers.

In 1999, Scott, a descendant of Jake Cole, generously donated 11 acres in North Zulch, Texas, that has became Land Of My Grandfathers, the inclusive retreat center it is today, dedicated to providing safe space for groups to host unique events with lasting outcomes.

Scott died peacefully on April 23, 2023 at the age of 73 and plans are underway to celebrate his life in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of this site he loved so well.

Honoring
Scott Cole

Scott Cole, a former Mankind Project (MKP) Houston Center Director and inspiration to many, died peacefully on April 23 at age 73. Scott attended his New Warrior Training Adventure Weekend (NWTA) in June, 1996. His animal name was Compassionate Rabbit. He staffed 49 New Warrior Training Adventures and served for two years as the Center Director of MKP Houston (before the South Central Area was formed).

LOMG
History

In 1999, Scott, a descendant of Jake Cole, donated 11 acres in North Zulch, Texas, to Houston-based “Men In Mission” (MIM), a 501(c)3 organization, and was named “Land of My Grandfathers” to honor his grandfather Jake. Along with this donation, plans were made to take this beautiful piece of pastural land and build a site to accommodate many types and sizes of groups for future sustainability. Funds were raised, 100s of men gathered, the property was built out, and the first group rental for this land that had become known as “LOMG” took place in April 1999.
