Honoring Scott Cole

Compassionate Rabbit

Scott Cole, a former Mankind Project (MKP) Houston Center Director and inspiration to many, died peacefully on April 23 at age 73. Scott attended his New Warrior Training Adventure Weekend (NWTA) in June, 1996. His animal name was Compassionate Rabbit. He staffed 49 New Warrior Training Adventures and served for four years as the Center Director of MKP Houston (before the South Central Area was formed).

Scott generously donated the land that became Land of My Grandfathers, the spiritual center of the MKP South Central Area. He was honored in 2020 for his gift to the community. The name of the site comes from Scott donating the land of his grandfather, Jake Cole. There is a road near LOMG that is named, Jake Cole Lane. During this event Scott entertained his community brothers with stories of the origin of LOMG.

Scott loved theater, Broadway and music of all kinds. He also loved being a Brother Dancer, and was a regular participant on many Houston, North Texas and South Central NWTAs.
